For my Digital Illustration class, my classmates and I delved into a collection of futuristic sci-fi elements that we brought to life through illustrations like communication devices, energy sources, space outfits, and weather devices. In this sci-fi Illustration class, we treated the class projects like a Visual Development course, and our final project was to put all of our work together as an Visual Development Pitch Bible. Through treating this course as a practice run for a Visual Development job, I was able to learn what would be expected of me as an Illustrator and in this line of work. I also learned helpful drawing and painting techniques in this class to improve my way of drawing digitally in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and in general. This class helped me get out of my comfort zone of just drawing fantasy art and helped me see that I can create Sci-fi art. It also showed me that I am more versatile in creating different forms of art than I thought I originally was. The illustrations shown below are my favorite and best pieces from this course.
