Portraits are always something I have been drawn to in my life. Whether it has been in famous painting portraits, other artists' portraits on Instagram, or photography, I have always been drawn to the human face. I love studying the features and anatomy of the human face. I believe it is actually the first thing I learned to draw as an artist in elementary school. I remember constantly looking at facial anatomy books for hours in the school's library, trying to improve drawing facial features as an artist when I was younger. Now that I am older, I have continued my fascination with the human face and have worked on becoming a better artist. I have explored other avenues of the art world and delved into different forms of art. But after doing so many different types of art, in the last couple of years, I am starting to remember my love for the human face and portraiture, and slowly starting to come back into my portraiture phase, and remembering why I got involved in creating art. Below are some of my most recent portraits in the past couple of years of my boyfriend, my best friend and my dog, and my grandmother, who I love dearly. Can't wait to add more portraits to this section of my portfolio in the future.
