While taking a class at MSU, I learned a little bit about product design when doing a Celestial Seasonings tea packaging project in my Art of the Visual Narrative class. I had to come up with our own tea flavor and create a design using animals based on that. The flavor that I came up with was inspired by my friend's drink that she made, which was an apple, clove, and cinnamon drink that was so good that I made it into a tea flavor idea. I then thumbnailed the flavors I came up with and went with a witchy cottage core vibe design for the tea flavor theme that really sold the Celestial Seasonings project, I believe. Through making the Apple Clove Cinnamon Witch Brew tea flavor, I was not only able to start learning the techniques for Illustration majors now that I had gotten into the Illustration program that year, but also got a taste of how packaging and product design were done in the illustration industry, which I found to be interesting and intriguing. Love what I learned from this project and class.
