Long ago, two dimensions lived in harmony, which were Earth and the magical World of Life known as Al-Terra Humans and magical creatures used to cross over into these realms, and a rare few were even chosen as Champions to control and rule over the six elements of Al-Terra: Fire, Life, Water, Air, Light, and Darkness. But eventually the dimensions were severed once a Dark Evil named Kthon, who was the embodiment of Decay and Darkness, looked to rule over both dimensions and make people and Fae alike bend to his will. The Great Champions eventually defeated Kthon, but Kthon never really disappeared from Al-Terra, and his threat to rule both realms still remains to this day.
Once the dimensions were closed off, Earth and Al-terra evolved into two different societies through the centuries. Earth focused on Science and Technology and became a steampunk society, while Al-Terra focused on Magic and Elements and remained as a magical society. In the era of advanced technology on Earth, Kthon’s grasp on Al-Terra returns, and the disciples of Kthon seek to control the Emerald Throne, which controls all life on Al-Terra. Now Al-Terra must venture back to Earth to find Champions pure of heart to control the elements and vanquish Kthon once and for all. Al-Terra is able to find 5 unlikely Champions in the Earth dimension, 5 orphans named Ty, Adrian, Alyssandra, Blake and Caden, on the run from authority that are willing to take the risk to go into the mysterious lands of Al-Terra with the new dark champion Ciara ,and vanquish this dark evil once and for all. Welcome to the Epic story of Warriors of Al-Terra.
This is the story description is an idea of a high fantasy portal world that I have been building for the past couple of years now while being at MSU and I plan on making this my Thesis piece. It is also an LGBTQ+ Community love story amidst the high fantasy world and explores many themes and archetypes seen in pop culture and mythology where I flip it on its head to try and make a story original and different from the rest of the stories in the world. I plan on telling the story in three volumes, each with time jumps between the volumes, so their late teenage years, early twenties, and their early thirties. I can't wait to illustrate even more artwork of these elemental warriors, their elemental weapons, and telling their magnificent and epic story.
